This all-over black is one of her hair's healthiest looks yet, so we'd be remiss not to include it as one of our favorites. As simple as it is, it also looks trendy when paired with big bold lashes and metal accessories. Going gray is no longer a faux pas but a fashion statement made by choice. Leave it to Eilish to wear her undone length as yet another trending shade, with layers of chunky silver chains to match. Billie's signature skunk-style color is perfectly visible when hair is kept shiny and sleek.

Billie gave fans a heads up on the upcoming shift back in December when critics were pushing her to change her hairstyle. Earlier this month, Eilish revealed her blonde transformation was a time-intensive process, starting all the way back in January. Fans knew a major hair change was coming soon, because Eilish told them so on Instagram Live back in December.

Before those acid-green roots became her thing, she played around with her hair color quite a bit. Soft brown, white-blonde, turquoise, dark blue, and silver are just a few of the hair shades the singer has adopted in the past couple of years. Still, this dandelion-like hue is one we've never seen on Eilish — we have to wonder if it's just a base for another fun, more vibrant color. Back in March 2021, Billie Eilish officially left her signature black hair and neon-green roots behind, to her fans' delight. She opted for a drastic hair change with a stunning white-blonde hue.

The two-time Oscar-winning musician recounted that version of herself likely began disappearing in 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, when she was spending so much of her time alone. She recorded her second album, Happier Than Ever, in the months that followed, and while it received rave reviews, the “bad guy” singer noted it didn’t feel like her. After the shoot wraps, Eilish proceeds to spend 20 straight minutes blowing her nose in her trailer.
Billie Eilish Is Now Bleach Blonde, Has Curtain Bangs
Billie Eilish has long been a chameleon when it comes to her hair. From her signature neon green lengths to a bleached blonde Marilyn Monroe bob and the iconic wolf cut, she's no stranger to experimenting with her haircuts, colours and styles. The new shade was quite the change to the last look we saw her in on the red (or actually pink) carpet for the Barbie premiere, where her hair was dark black from roots to tip with the same brow-skimming bangs.

The award-winning singer-songwriter shared that she took her shaggy bob brunette exactly two months ago. But it seems she's already itching for some change because she just updated both the color and her bangs. On Sunday, February 18, Eilish walked the red carpet for the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, where she was nominated for Pop Artist of the Year and took home the award for TV Performance of the Year for her work in Swarm. However, although that is all cause for celebration, we were, of course, more concerned with the new hair color she wore for the occasion.

Eilish could be taking her new hair into this year's Grammy season where she has seven nominations. Eilish's sophomore album "Happier Than Ever" and the title track picked up nominations for the 2022 Grammys in categories including album, song and record of the year. While the transition to brown hair may help the star blend in more away from the limelight, her fellow Grammy nominee Olivia Rodrigo gave the change an "omg" reaction in the comments.
The chart-topper rocked the green style until 2021 when she nearly broke Instagram with her platinum blond locks, bringing in a record-setting 1 million likes in six minutes when she posted a pic of her new hair. However, the star said she “didn’t feel sexy for one second” as a blonde. In the snap, the singer posed with her head slightly tilted forward to show off her newly red roots and long black bangs, while the rest of her hair was tied back in two messy buns. The closest shade Eillish has worn to her new color is a true jet black, which she wore for much of last year, including to the Met Gala. She's recently been experimenting with fun styles like a spiky bun at the Grammys, so we can't wait to see how she styles her new shade.

Headbands are a popular hair accessory, and while there are a plethora of ways to wear the trending item that take a feminine foot forward, it's no surprise to see Eilish wearing this look in a sportier way. These silver-coated pigtail braids are an edgy take on a classic style. There's nothing overdone or overthought about the look, just a classically shameless expression of what works for her in the moment. A half-up, half-down style is a classic and it doesn't even technically require any tools. Of course, you can use a pin or elastic to place the hair into the style, but you can also fake the look by placing a bit of hair behind your ears, and keeping tendrils loose to frame your face.
She has traumatic memories — the swimming instructor whose method was to put her under and wait for her to “figure it out,” or the time she got sucked into the surf of the ocean and a lifeguard had to rescue her. She always found the courage to dive in, but for years, the very idea of swimming made her heart beat faster. Immersing herself back into that darkness, combined with experimenting with new sounds — from a string quartet to glittery dance-floor trance — makes Hit Me Hard and Soft Eilish’s best album yet. She dabbled in belting on the title track to Happier Than Ever, but she brings it full-throttle here on several songs, finally putting all those lame “She’s just whispering” critiques to rest. We’re at a soundstage in Santa Clarita, California, on a chilly, rainy February afternoon.
Billie’s new look has already spawned countless imitations, and is fuelling summer’s biggest hair colour trend “reel blonde”. After first debuting her blonde hair last month, Billie Eilish stunned with an even lighter bouncy blonde blowout in a new Instagram photo Monday. “Pinch me,” Eilish captioned the post, pointing out the irony that she ditched her green hair on St. Patrick's Day, of all days. Clearly, her fans are into the new look because they immediately flooded the post with more than 100,000 and counting comments, many of which are in all capital text and feature plenty of heart-eyed emojis.
And despite the new haircut, her white-blonde color seems to be here to stay. It's a hilarious observation, though, most likely, the inspo was just a natural fusion of her green, red, and blonde hairstyles into a new look that only the likes of Billie Eilish could pull off. Over the last several years, she's had silver, violet, black, and various shades of blue hair, though she wore the green roots look since 2019.
In March, the Grammy winner said goodbye to her signature black strands with neon-green roots and debuted a chic, blond shaggy cut. She had what she describes as an existential crisis at her 20th-birthday party. “I looked around the room and every single person was an employee of mine,” she says. Her black, white, and red Chicago Bulls NBA jersey featured bold red piping that perfectly matched her red hair, while the layers of silver chains she wore added a touch of edgy glamor to the stylish star's outfit.
She wore it styled straight in a blunt bob with layers and curtain bangs. She then told Rolling Stone in April that she also didn't recognize herself with the light hair color. "It's called not being depressed anymore pls just be happy for me," Eilish responded on social media.
The opening track, the title of which I’ve agreed not to reveal, plays like a sister song to “What Was I Made For? ” Eilish has talked about how she and Finneas experienced serious writer’s block before coming up with the Barbie track, but what she hadn’t revealed was that this album opener was born first — the catalyst to writing the hit. But the lyrics are even more devastating, as Eilish tackles the misconception that losing weight signifies happiness.
However, we know Eillish typically changes up her hair to signify a new era, so perhaps this switch up—paired with her caption for the reveal, "Remember Me?"—means an album is on the way. To show off the new colors, she styled her hair in a messy, loose bun, leaving strands out on her sides and keeping her bangs down, framing her face. A Canadian tuxedo, chunky white shoes, and a small black purse finished her look—though, of course, our eyes were on the bright head of hair. Eilish loves to mess around with her fans, so we may never know exactly how she reached her current hair color, but we're definitely watching closely to see how her shade story continues. A classic '50s inspired hairstyle can be modernized with its cut, color, and choice of style. Of course, Eilish opted for all three adjustments to give her retro beehive a bold-rooted twist with face-framing layers falling down and out for a looser, more relaxed vibe.
